HUNTINGTON -- It was playtime with a purpose Monday morning as the Rahall Transportation Institute teamed with Cabell County students for LEGOs and learning.

The institute's Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics program presented knowledge about different modes of transportation through hands-on learning and LEGO-building with students from the county's Talented and Gifted program.

STEM's goal is to ensure opportunities for developing the next generation of transportation professionals including engineers, researchers, educators and economists. The outreach program introduces students pre-K to 12th grade to science, technology, engineering, mathematics, safety and communication concepts.
